The Military Chaplains Association provides ministry profession support through eleven major initiatives. One of these is to maintain a Joint service and inter-agency forum for ministry analysis, dialogue, and development.
We welcome contributions and encourage mature debate where insights and opinions vary. We will seek to preserve an environment that is consistent with the cooperative ministry objectives and requirements expressed by Department of Defense Instruction 1304.28 of June 11, 2004 “Guidance for the Appointment of Chaplains for the Military Departments.” We support and encourage the ethical standards expressed by the “Covenant and Code of Ethics for Chaplains of the Armed Forces” posted by the National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces.
Our “Ministry Forum” addresses four general areas:
- Care for Wounded Warriors and Healers
- Lifetime Calling and Commitment as Chaplains
- Mentoring Chaplains for Effective Service
- Religious Freedom and Practice
