			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Former Navy chaplain Barbara Marshall will appear during the season premier of “Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition” on 25 September at 7:00 -9:00 pm EDT on the ABC Television Network.   Barbara is committed to assistance for homeless Veterans.  Using her own funds, she established The Steps-N-Stages Jubilee House in Fayetteville, NC. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Jubilee House offers shelter, support and services such as mentoring and life coaching to homeless female veterans.  Jubilee House needed additional space and resources to continue its work with the women.  With the help of First Lady Michelle Obama, a paratrooper team from the U.S. Army, other service members, and Ty Pennington from &#8220;Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,&#8221; a new Jubilee House will be unveiled on 25 September.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Mrs. Obama, Ty Pennington and the &#8220;EM: HE&#8221; team of designers Paul DiMeo, Tracy Hutson, John Littlefield, Sabrina Soto, local builder Blue Ridge Log Cabins and community volunteers helped build the new Jubilee House. </span></p>

<p><strong>The room rate is $77.00 [double or single occupancy].  This includes a very nice buffet breakfast.  On a space available basis, the hotel will honor our room rate for two days prior to the main event.  Any days after the conference will be difficult to obtain because of heavy booking for that weekend in May.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Join us for key leader presentations on Warrior Care issues and important updates on benefits and issues that concern all chaplains &#8211; whether active military, Veterans Affairs, or retired.</strong></p>
<p><strong>MCA National Executive Committee members and Veterans Affairs Chaplain Field Leadership Council members should arrive on Sunday, 1 May unless they are local commuters.  Both groups will convene early Monday morning.  All other participants should arrive not later than Monday, 2 May. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Registration begins at Noon and continues until 4 PM.  Then join us Monday late afternoon for a Joint Welcome Reception from 4 to 5:30 PM.  We are looking forward to your participation for this third bi-annual joint meeting. </strong></p>
<p><strong>The registration fee in $125.00 for all DVA, MCA, and other registrants. </strong><strong>The Emerson Foundation Luncheon on Wednesday, 4 May is $30.00 per meal.  The Awards Banquet on Thursday evening, 5 May is $45.00 per meal.  You are welcome to bring meal guests even if they can&#8217;t participate in other parts of the conference.</strong></p>

<p>The US Army Chaplain Corps Regimental Association sponsored the 5th Biennial Reunion of the Army chaplaincy family. Held in Denver, Colorado on 8-11 September, it brought together former and retired chaplains, chaplain assistants of each Component, DREs and others who serve, or have served the Army chaplaincy. The theme was “Honoring the Legacy of the Army Chaplaincy”, and highlighted  the Regimental Dining Out on Friday evening the 10th, with the dramatic presentation of little-known stories of WWII Army chaplains, as well as a “first person” account of a survivor of the Dorchester sinking and “the rest of the story”.</p>

<p>A 503 (c) 19 Non Profit Organization, The US Army Chaplain Corps Regimental Association is not affiliated with the Department of the Army or the Office of the Chief of Chaplains. The Board of Directors, comprised of retired and active duty chaplains and NCOs, is led by Chaplain (BG) Wayne Hoffmann, President. The Association is committed to life-long fellowship, and to continuing ministry to Soldiers and their families, and is dedicated to promoting the legacy of the past, the ministry of the present, and the continuation and future of the Army Chaplaincy.</p>
