About Coryland Church
Founded in 1909 through the union of local Baptist and Presbyterian congregations, Coryland Church is a federated congregation rooted in biblical faith, Christian fellowship, and service to our community. While modest in size, we are united in purpose and committed to faithfully serving Christ in rural Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
Our congregation values meaningful worship, sound biblical preaching, prayer, hospitality, and caring relationships. We are known as a welcoming church family that seeks to encourage one another and extend Christ’s love to our neighbors through practical service and community involvement.
Located in the beautiful Endless Mountains region of northern Pennsylvania, Coryland offers the blessings of rural ministry while remaining within convenient driving distance of Troy, Pennsylvania and the Elmira-Corning area of New York.
Our Vision
Serving Christ and Community Together
We believe God has called us not only to care for our church family but also to strengthen our presence within the surrounding community. We desire to build meaningful relationships, support local ministries, and demonstrate Christ’s love through both word and deed.
Our next pastor will play an important role in helping us nurture spiritual growth, encourage outreach, and identify opportunities for community engagement.
Our Church Culture
Coryland Church is characterized by
- A warm, welcoming, and family-oriented atmosphere
- Strong lay leadership and active volunteer involvement
- A commitment to biblical teaching, prayer, and discipleship
- Respect for both Baptist and Presbyterian traditions
- A spirit of unity, cooperation, and mutual encouragement
- A desire to strengthen local outreach and community partnerships
We value relationships and teamwork. Our congregation enjoys stable leadership and seeks a pastor who will work collaboratively with church leaders while helping us discern God’s direction for the future.
Shared Ministry Philosophy
Coryland Church is not looking for a “one-person ministry.” We understand that effective ministry is a shared calling among pastors, church leaders, and congregation members. We are blessed with capable lay leaders and faithful volunteers who actively support the work of the church.
We seek a pastor who will provide spiritual leadership, preaching, pastoral care, and encouragement while partnering with others who are actively engaged in the life and ministry of the congregation. We value collaboration, mutual support, and healthy expectations for both pastor and church.
