
Army Reserve chaplains come together for training and fellowship
Carmella Navarro, Suicide Prevention Program Manager, 85th U.S. Army Reserve Support Command, gives a brief on suicide prevention services and support during the 85th USARSC’s Unit Ministry Team workshop, April 29 – May 3, 2019. The workshop trained the command’s Brigade Support Element UMTs on mandatory training topics directed by the Chief of Chaplains and U.S. Army Forces Command’s Chaplains Office. Additionally, it instructed UMTs on how to best utilize Army Reserve resources to provide religious support; communicate expectations for support to suicidal Soldiers and other critical issues; outlined Army Reserve career progression in the Chaplain branch and trained best practices for religious support and support to the command’s mission with their First Army partners.
