Epinal American Cemetery – Memorial Day Ceremony

U.S. and French officials commemorate Memorial Day at Epinal American Cemetery May 26th, 2019. U.S. Air Force Major General Kirk W. Smith, commander of U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, delivered remarks alongside the mayor of Dinoze Francois Picoche, mayor of Epinal Michel Heinrich and Member of Parliament Stephane Viry. Two U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles assigned to U.S. Air Force Europe’s 492d Fighter Squadron provided an overflight, alongside the USAFE Color Guard and Band. U.S. Army Europe provided an honor platoon for the ceremony, and U.S. Navy Europe provided a Chaplain to provide the invocation.
